I’d really like to see these on NSO and my flatscreen at home. @phartsy Considering you could just buy the Castlevania Advance Collection for 20 bucks, yeah, I’m pretty sure you won’t see those games. Can’t wait for them to port all the GBA ports of SNES games that are already on NSO. It’s weird to read 3DS supports GBA because of DS bc, when really it was just Nintendo adding the missing hardware and patching up the rest with 3DS-only hardware. @shoeses I feel the original Gameboy would be added to base NSO while GBC and GBA will be Expansion Pass. That and probably get Pokemon Home compatibility if Gen 1-3 games end up on the Expansion Pass.
It features a brighter screen, less weight, a more durable battery, a thicker stylus, and softer buttons. Now available in white, black, silver, blue, pink and the new colors red, green and yellow. But the Game Boy’s 30th anniversary came and went without a miniature Game Boy, and now we’re in the midst of a global chip shortage. I’d love to see more opportunities to let new gamers in on old classics, and not just in terms of remakes like Link’s Awakening . It’s not every day we see a Nintendo rumor that strong. Introduced at E3 2005, the Game Boy Micro (ゲームボーイミクロ, Game Boy Micro) is the third design of the GBA.
- I’ve heard some rumors that DeSmuME 0.9.7 has fixed the issue with HeartGold and SoulSilver slowing down and freezing, now that shows…
- However, adjusting the synchronization timing had no noticeable effect for me.
- Having the file in the CTR Important Archive format lets you install the game to a Nintendo 3DS. The program is small and completely portable, so it doesn’t need to be installed to use it.
Of all games for it to be, they just randomly happen to have the most expensive non variant GBA game there is on the secondary market. This just reeks of someone trolling to get everybody worked up for something that will not happen. And 2 days ago I got 3 GBA games on Wii U and I have 6 more on my wishlist. Nintendo’s still promoting N64, and we haven’t even had all the pre-announced N64 games yet.
Nintendo is however working hard to remedy the issue, maybe even releasing a hardware revision with the exploit fixed. Nintendo also recently announced that they will be banning hacked Switch consoles that try to go online along with issuing some stern anti-piracy laws. Seems like it’d be a lot of work to fake, having to go so far as to develop 2 separate emulators that are brand new and not based on already existing GB/C and GBA emulators. Nintendo has left unannounced content to be datamined in their games and go girl games systems before, wouldn’t be surprising to see it happen again. Though you’d think they’d have learned to better hide or simply not include this kind of content so early by this point. It’s theoretically possible that a homebrew developer with access to Switch development hardware could dummy up a signed file like this.
Free Nintendo DS Emulator: DeSmuMe
This in itself creates a brand new experience while staying true to the fundamentals of the original vanilla game. I still buy games to this day, some complete in box and some cart only, though I have noticed a spike in prices recently and the repro carts are plaguing the market. All in all, I love the Micro and I still think Nintendo hasn’t topped it, portable-wise. I get that all these are great games and all, but zero Boktai games? People complain about the Switch having too many, but at least the Switch has original entries like BotW, Mario Odyssey, Smash Ultimate, Splatoon 2, etc.
This is one of the best Pokémon emulators for PC, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS. The mGBA core also allows you to play Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games. Since iOS is typically more difficult to install emulators too and usually requires some kind of workaround, I would recommend using RetroArch for your GBA emulation on iPhone & iOS.
